Ryan's Knitting

This is my son, Ryan, who seems to be a master of all he attempts. He and Kesley learned how to knit together this summer, and he's pretty good at it. The movie is about 4 minutes, probably needs to be shortened just a bit, but if you can make it through you'll see how uncomfortable I am (all in good fun) over the whole knitting thing.

On a side note, Kesley sent the video to some people in the craft industry, and they loved Ryan. They want to have him do a book or a video for children's knitting. Kesley's so excited about it.

Little Swimmers

This is a video I put together with our new video camera during our 2 week vacation at the beach in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Daisy, who only turned 3 years old last month, has learned how to swim. I have another version of the movie where she swims the width of this pool without rising for air.

I love iMovie! I seriously did this video in about 3 hours. The song is sung by Faith Hill, written by the incredible Lori McKenna (who I lay claim to knowing personally).

Back from Vacation

The family got back from 2 weeks of vacation on Sunday. We collectively must have gained 30 pounds while there; beer, chips, "Island Treats" (which are frozen Snickers, 3 Musketeers, etc), and more beer.

Kesley and I started the South Beach Diet on Sunday and our taste buds are miserable. However, we've dropped almost 10 pounds already combined. That's just 4 days of suffering. I'd like to lose another 10 for myself, so I guess it's another couple of weeks of meat, eggs, sugar free jello, cheese, vegetables (I've never eaten so much celery in my life), and Diet Coke.
